Nikita Khrushchev
Nikita Khrushchev was the leader of the Soviet Union during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was very mean and hated America. So he teamed up with the leader of Cuba and built many missiles. He threatened to cause the first nuclear war. But JFK's deployment of the United States Military and the diplomatic policies of the United States, showed that President Kennedy was ready to go to war with Russia. If the missiles where not removed from Cuba.
Anyway, lets talk about Nikita Khrushchev childhood. He was born in April 15, 1894 to Sergei Khrushchev and Ksenia Khrushchev. His parents were very poor and had a horrible job. Nikita Khrushchev was given a job at early age. That job was a herdsboy, he was basically a Shepard. He got tired of that job, so when he was 14 he moved to Yuzovka with his mother. He got a job as a metal fitter's apprentice. Then, he was hired by a factory were he lost all of his money.
After he worked at that factory, World War ll broke out in the Soviet Union. He than was hired another time by a different factory were he did many strikes to receive higher pay, better working conditions, and an end to the war. But later that same year, he married Yefrosinia Pisareva, the daughter of the elevator operator in the Rutchenkoco mine. They had a daughter, Yulia, and a son, Leonid. In 1917, he was elected to the Worker's Council and later elected the Chairman.
In March 1918, Germany came and attacked Donbas, which scared Nikita and he fled. In that same year, he was mobilized into the Red Cross as a Political Commissar. He was later demobilized and was later assigned to be a Commissar for a Labor Bridge. When he was there, he and his men lived in many hard conditions. Those hard conditions caused famine and devastation. That cause Nikita Khrushchev's wife, Yefrosinia, to die from typhus.

Fidel Castro
Fidel Castro was the leader of Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was partnered up with Nikita Khrushchev to build many missiles and plans on what they were going to do. They talked and talked it over with President Kennedy. That talk took about 13 days to complete and after those 13 days, there was no war.
Fidel Castro was born in August 13, 1926, he was born to Angel Castro y Argiz and Lina Ruz Gonzalez. Angel Castro y Argiz was a farm laborer and was sent of to many wars. While Lina Ruz Gonzalez was a household servant. When Fidel Castro was a child, he went to live with his teacher. There, he barely ate and did not learn anything!! Around age 8, he was baptized into the Roman Catholic Church and was then enabled to go to boarding school. He misbehaved a lot at that school and was later send to a privatly-funded school.
In 1945 he was transferred to a different school where he loved debating, geography, and history. But he didn't do well in math, science, or language arts. So he spent most of his time playing sports. Later that year he went to the University of Havana where he studied law. He than joined the students protest movement. That led to many gangs, crime, and deaths. After that happened he joined the University Committee for the Independence of Puerto Rico and the Committee for Democracy in the Dominican Republic.
He became critical of the violence and the killings at the school, so he gave a speech. That earned him a front cover in many newspapers and magazines. But when he joined a very bad group that did many bad things. He than moved to Cuba and was elected as the leader.
